Beautiful but the size chart is mislesding

I love the design and pattern of the pants, but the size chart is misleading. I ordered a size M based on the chart, and unfortunately it doesn’t fit—it’s too loose on me. Since I’m in Guatemala, I cannot return them, which is very disappointing.
